Duntan West

Founder & CEO

A highly accomplished event strategist with 25 years of experience and the founder of WonderWorks, an international event management company. She has managed over 350 events across the globe, including high-profile investor summits, sports tournaments, and luxury brand activation. Notably, she has been the producer for the Lagos International Polo Tournament for over 15 years.

In addition to her role at WonderWorks, Duntan is a prominent leader in the events industry. She is a board member for ILEA EMEA, the founding president of ILEA Nigeria, and the former global DEI chair for ILEA Worldwide, where she championed diversity and inclusion. Her influence was recently recognized when she was named one of the 60 Most Influential Event Professionals in the 2024 Event Industry Power List.

A certified integrative nutrition health coach, Duntan is also a dedicated wellness advocate. She founded Refreshed Healthy Living, a wellness consultancy, and created the Refreshed & Ready campaign to support event professionals. Her commitment to community well-being is further demonstrated through Well Me, an annual wellness day that provides free self-care and medical support to underserved communities. She is known for her ability to create events that are not only impressive but also purposeful and transformative.

Chiamaka Chidinma

Executive Assistant
& Event Personnel

Chiamaka serves as Executive Assistant and Event Personnel at WonderWorks, where she brings poise, precision, and quiet excellence to every project she supports. With a background in Marketing (2:1), she combines strategic thinking with an instinct for organization, ensuring that ideas evolve seamlessly into beautifully executed experiences.

Renowned for her calm efficiency and meticulous attention to detail, Chiamaka plays a pivotal role behind the scenes — coordinating vendors, managing logistics, refining timelines, and maintaining alignment across stakeholders. She understands that exceptional events are built on thoughtful preparation, and she approaches each engagement with clarity, structure, and grace.

In dynamic event environments where every detail matters, Chiamaka ensures that décor, lighting, suppliers, and operational flow integrate flawlessly, creating experiences that feel effortless and elevated.

Outside of her professional work, she finds inspiration in music and new discoveries, continually drawing fresh perspectives that subtly enrich the experiences she helps deliver.

Matthew Musa

Finance Lead

Matthew serves as the Finance Lead at WonderWorks, providing the financial structure and discipline that underpin every successful event we deliver.

A graduate of Accounting (2022), he is currently progressing toward his professional qualifications while gaining practical experience across multiple sectors, including hospitality, education, corporate organisations, and actuarial firms. This diverse exposure has strengthened his analytical capability and adaptability across different financial systems and reporting frameworks.

At WonderWorks, Matthew oversees financial operations — from managing accounts and vendor payments to budgeting oversight, financial reporting, and inventory reconciliation. He ensures that every project is financially aligned, payments are timely, records are accurate, and reporting remains clear and accountable.

Detail-oriented, methodical, and dependable, Matthew brings calm precision to a fast-paced creative environment, ensuring that our innovation is always supported by strong financial stewardship.

Outside of work, he enjoys reading and watching football.

Olushola Phillips

Operations Lead

An accomplished Operations Leader with over 9 years of dedicated experience at WonderWorks, where he plays a critical role in the strategic oversight of day-to-day operations. Renowned for delivering operational excellence, Olushola is known for driving efficiency, ensuring seamless execution across all departments, and fostering a high-performance culture within the team.

With a sharp focus on streamlining processes and optimizing productivity, Olushola brings a hands-on, solutions-oriented leadership style to every project. His strengths in operational strategy, cross-functional coordination, and continuous improvement initiatives have been key to the sustained growth and success of the organization.
Beyond his core leadership role, Olushola is a resourceful technical events specialist, responsible for the deployment, setup, and return of event equipment. He is proficient in managing electrical equipment, maintaining the firm’s assets, and supporting the technical logistics that bring events to life.

A creative thinker with a keen eye for design and décor, Olushola contributes not only to the technical success of events but also to their visual impact and overall guest experience.
In his spare time, Olushola enjoys exploring creative design ideas, staying current with tech trends, and engaging in hands-on projects that fuel his passion for innovation.

Damola Mohammed-Olaide

Event Personnel

Damola recently joined WonderWorks as an Event Personnel, bringing with her a refreshing blend of creativity, structure, and people-centered energy. She holds a Higher National Diploma (HND) in Banking and Finance, a background that equips her with strong organizational skills, financial awareness, and disciplined execution — qualities that are invaluable in the fast-paced world of event management.

Beyond her academic training, Damola has a natural creative flair. With hands-on experience in designing and sewing garments, she has developed a keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and presentation. This creative instinct seamlessly translates into event planning, where thoughtful touches and precision make all the difference.

Her love for hospitality and memorable experiences inspired her to explore Lagos’ vibrant social scene alongside friends — discovering spaces, ambience, and the elements that make gatherings truly special. That curiosity and passion eventually led her to WonderWorks, where she now plays an active role in bringing magical moments to life.

Dynamic and detail-oriented, Damola is known for her strong communication skills and her natural ability to connect with clients and team members alike. She listens attentively, understands client visions, and works diligently to translate ideas into beautifully executed events. Calm under pressure and solution-driven, she handles unexpected challenges with composure and efficiency.

Angela Otakpor

Event Support

Angela brings energy and enthusiasm to the WonderWorks team, with a growing passion for creative design and event coordination.

Naturally drawn to the behind-the-scenes elements of event planning, she enjoys supporting the processes that help bring ideas to life. From assisting with logistics to contributing to creative execution, Angela is eager to learn, develop her skills, and grow within the dynamic world of events.
